About Sydney and NSW

Sydney is the first stop for most visitors to Australia. It’s a great place to start as you plan the rest of your stay. Experience everything from arts and food events through to legendary beaches, each with their own unique charm.

Why not make the most of your trip and explore the surrounding area? Many of Sydney’s best kept secrets are only a short drive away — perfect for day trips.

Discover national parks such as the world heritage-listed Blue Mountains and experience nature firsthand.

For food lovers and wine connoisseurs, the picturesque Hunter Valley is a mecca for foodies and produces great wines, including world-renowned Semillion that can be sampled and purchased directly at the cellar door. You can relax and stay overnight in both these locations with accommodation from backpackers or bed and breakfast, through to up to five-star luxury stays.

To explore and experience everything Sydney has to offer, we recommend a hire car as it’s the easiest way to get around.
