Competitively priced car rental and you can have any colour car you want as long as it’s white!! The staff were helpful, friendly and polite - the overall service was excellent and the car we hired was clean, tidy and we resist purpose well. On that basis, I’d certainly recommend them.

Really can't believe that some people on here are whinging - thought it was only supposed to be us Poms who did that. 😉 Anyway, No Birds were recommended to us as we needed a car for at least the first week of our 3 month stay in Oz. Easy to book online, and very little to do when I picked our Hyundai up, other than produce a credit card. As pointed out by many, the cars are spotless and are supplied with a full tank, it's simply a case of ensuring it's full upon return. For those that moan about paying $5 a day for the insurance - you'd have to be certifiable to drive a car without paying the cost of a cup of coffee. Oh, and we're now into our third week with the car, as it's such an amazing deal.

Great, great value; excellent car. Take the very reasonably-priced full insurance for peace of mind ($0 liability) and only $200 bond (to cover any upside incidentals, should there be any - fair enough; refunded promptly). Cars are new or near-new (depending on the option you choose) and in top condition. Windscreen glass and rear window could be a little cleaner. Full out / full in fuel policy. Staff matter of fact and quick (if you want to have a conversation, go to a nearby cafe).

How do I collect my rental vehicle from Sydney Airport?

We operate at a convenient location in Mascot only 2km from the airport to avoid expensive rental costs.

To pick up your rental SUV, please use our Sydney Airport Transfer service. Book online with your rental car for just $5 per group.

Can I add a baby seat to my booking?

We offer a wide range of high-quality baby seats (that meet Australia's high safety standards) from all our NSW locations. All seats are $8 per day. However, we cap this charge at $80. On arrival you can choose the type of seat required from our large selection. You will need to fit the restraint to the vehicle yourself.

Are there tolls on Sydney roads?

Sydney does have some motorways that require payment through electronic tolls. All Bayswater Car Rental vehicles are equipped with automated toll management, allowing you to make automatic payments as you drive through designated toll gates.

I only need my hire car for city use. Is there a reduced cost for city use only?

Our ‘City Use’ option offers customers the choice of hiring out our SUVs or any other vehicle for short distances at a cheaper rate, perfect for those on business trips or city explorers. With the reduced car hire price, your rental will still be permitted to drive out of the Sydney area, but limited to an accumulative distance of 100km per day. Extra kilometres will incur an extra 30 cents per km charge.

How far can I take my rental car out of Sydney?

As one of Australia’s largest cities, there’s no shortage of things to see and do. But for those looking to venture outside of Sydney, our policy permits you to take your vehicle anywhere in New South Wales (NSW), including the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), when you rent from our Sydney location.

If you wish to extend your usage to Brisbane or Victoria, this will require a once off fee of $150.

Can I return my car to a Sydney location after hours?

Yes, you can still return the car back to our office after hours. To return your No Birds car, simply leave your rental SUV in the Bayswater Car Rental parking area at the rear of the building (enter from Forbes St), lock the vehicle, and drop your keys in the designated key-drop box attached to our building.

What are the safety features of my rental?

To ensure your driving safety, all Bayswater cars have airbags, ABS brakes and 4 or 5-star ANCAP safety rating. This means all vehicles have met the strictest international safety standards in independent testing.

Does my SUV rental have reversing cameras?

Yes. All our cars have a reversing camera as standard.
