Question
We will be hiring one your cars from 29 Oct to 12 Nov 2009 from your Bayswater office. We will not be taking the $50 option to go outside the 500 klm radius but if, during our travels, it look as if we are going beyond the distance can we call you and ask for the $50 option? We notice that there is a $68 fee for each RAC road side assist. I can understand this if lets say we run out of fuel but if there is a problem with the vehicle shouldn't the owner be responsible for this?
Answer
You can call to add the $50 remote fee at a later time as well; however, the renter has to advise pickup location before they cross the 500 km radius or as soon as they plan to travel outside the allowable limit. If there is a mechanical failure of the hire car, you will not be charged the call out fee.
